Mohamed El-Kadey

Mohamed El-Kadey

1981, Blek le Rat began his stencil graffiti art in Paris, September 1981 Picasso’s painting Guernica was returned from New York to Madrid and 1981 was also with Cairo Egypt being the venue the world was blessed with the birth of Mohamed El-Kadey.

The bold, striking colours of the family textile business, the hustle and bustle of the streets of Cairo and a renowned Artist (Samah Said) for an Uncle all provided the background for Mo’s self-taught ability to tell stories through captivating, courageous, audacious artwork, with a fondness for oil painting.

The road to being an Artist hasn’t been a direct one for Mo, after securing a degree in Business Administration in Egypt, Mo moved to London in 2007 and with a passion for fitness Mo open a boutique gym offering a personalised service. 2019 saw a move from London to Hastings and Mo fully identifying himself and being recognised as an artist.
